Quang Nam implements post-inspection work on food safety

The Provincial People's Committee requests the Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on Food Safety and food safety management agencies at all levels to seriously organize inspections and post-inspections of food production, trading, advertising, import, preservation and transportation establishments.

Inspecting establishments trading and slaughtering livestock and poultry; establishments providing food services, street food businesses, collective kitchens in industrial zones, schools and food safety at festivals and major events; establishments not subject to the issuance of a Certificate of eligible food safety facility according to the management hierarchy.

Focus on inspection and post-inspection of food groups, food additives, food processing aids, packaging materials, and utensils that come into direct contact with food, focusing on the following product groups: Health protection foods, medical nutritional foods, foods for special diets; bottled drinking water, natural mineral water, ready-to-use ice; nutritional products for children; food additives...

Meat and meat products; seafood and seafood products; vegetables, tubers, fruits and vegetable, tubers, fruits products... Milk; wine; especially handmade wine; soft drinks; cakes, jams, candies... Vermicelli, pho noodles...

For establishments producing, trading, importing, advertising food, inspecting and post-inspecting food safety conditions; product declaration; inspecting and post-inspecting imported food, including taking samples for testing in order of priority for products exempted from state inspection of imported food safety, shipments subject to reduced inspection methods, products and shipments subject to regular inspection methods...

Regarding food product quality, focus on controlling food quality at all stages: origin of food ingredients, transportation, preservation; production and processing process; import and circulation on the market; use of food additives, processing aids, flavorings, colorants in food processing; banned substances in animal husbandry; control the use of antibiotics, veterinary drugs, plant protection chemicals; continue to control the use of banned substances in food such as: Borax in ham, Tinopal in vermicelli, Salbutamol in animal husbandry, Sibutramine in weight loss functional food products...; control food that is counterfeit, of unknown origin, expired, smuggled...

Strengthen sampling and testing of product samples after announcement; focus on products and product groups that are decentralized to localities to issue Certificates of food safety qualified establishments, receive self-declared products, and receive product declarations.
