Quang Nam requires inspection of clean water price increase, higher than Da Nang

On May 22, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province sent an official dispatch to the Department of Finance to inspect and review the clean water unit price of Quang Nam Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company.

Specifically, based on Decree 85 of the Government , the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 4191 on May 19.

In which, it is agreed that the above company is allowed to apply the third year water price, collection period October 2024 in Decision No. 2473 (2022) of the Provincial People's Committee from May 2025 until the Provincial People's Committee issues a document approving the new water price.

However, when applying this price, some information reflects that the price of domestic water is higher than that of Da Nang City.

Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Finance to review and re-examine the determination of clean water unit prices approved in Decision No. 2473.

It clearly states the reason for the difference between the approved water price of Quang Nam Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company and the water price applied in Da Nang City, and reports to the Provincial People's Committee before May 30 to report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , on May 20, Quang Nam Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company announced the adjustment of clean water prices in the province from May 2025 on the company's website.

Accordingly, the price of domestic water in Tam Ky City, Hoi An City, Dien Ban Town, Phu Ninh, Duy Xuyen, Thang Binh, and Nui Thanh districts is calculated according to 4 levels.

Level 1 (first ^10m3 ) price is 8,954 VND/ ^m3 ; level 2 (from ^10m3 - ^20m3 ) price is 11,177 VND/ ^m3 ; level 3 (from ^20m3 - ^30m3 ) price is 13,400 VND/ ^m3 ; level 4 (from over ^30m3 ) price is 15,624 VND/ ^m3 .

The price of clean water supplied to administrative units in the above localities is 13,400 VND/ ^m3 , to material production units is 14,265 VND/ ^m3 , and to service business units is up to 18,959 VND/ ^m3 .

In mountainous districts such as Nam Giang and Phuoc Son, domestic water prices are also divided into 4 levels.

In which level 1 price is 7,175 VND/ ^m3 ; level 2 price is 8,954 VND/ ^m3 ; level 3 price is 10,733 VND/ ^m3 ; level 4 price is 12,512 VND/ ^m3 .

Water price for administrative and public service units is 10,733 VND/ ^m3 ; material production units is 11,424 VND/ ^m3 ; service business units is 15,180 VND/ ^m3 .

According to local people, this price is much higher than the price of clean water in neighboring areas such as Da Nang City.
