Delegates attending the 70th Anniversary Program of the Liberation of the Mining Region

The program celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Mining Region with the theme "Indomitable Mining Region, Aspiration for Power". The event also celebrates the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The ceremony is also an opportunity to express deep gratitude to generations of fathers and brothers - those who did not hesitate to shed blood and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people.

Throughout the history of the nation's revolutionary struggle, Quang Ninh has become the cradle of the working class and the homeland of the "proletarianization" movement, where many outstanding revolutionary predecessors were trained, contributing to promoting the revolutionary movement throughout the country.

The 70-year journey since the liberation, despite facing many challenges, difficulties and ups and downs due to the devastating war during the period of fighting against French colonialism and the destructive war of American imperialism. However, under the leadership and direction of the Central Committee; the coordination and support of the Central Committee's departments, ministries and branches, inheriting the tradition of "Discipline - Unity", generations of cadres, Party members and people of Quang Ninh have united, made efforts, overcome difficulties and challenges and achieved great achievements, many outstanding aspects, pioneering and breakthrough. Making important contributions to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland, innovating and developing the country.

From a weak province that had to rely on support from the Central Government, Quang Ninh has risen to become one of the leading provinces in innovation in the Northern Delta region, a comprehensive growth pole of the Northern region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Duc An emphasized: The program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Mining Region is not only an occasion to remember and pay tribute to generations of ancestors who heroically sacrificed for the independence - freedom - unification of the Fatherland, but also a moment to strongly arouse the belief, will and aspiration to rise up in every Quang Ninh citizen today.

With a tradition of steadfast revolution, bravery, intelligence and spirit of innovation, the cadres, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ninh will always unite to continue writing heroic pages of history. In particular, we will continue to reorganize the political system to ensure it is streamlined, effective, close to the people, meeting the requirements of modern social governance, achieving the goals of rapid and sustainable growth; focusing on leading and directing the preparation of party congresses at all levels, towards the 16th Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress.

In the immediate future, the province will focus on successfully implementing the 2025 working theme, with the target of GRDP reaching 14% or more; focusing on implementing 3 strategic breakthroughs; effectively managing, exploiting and using financial resources and public assets; promoting the application of science and technology, promoting digital transformation and innovation; improving the quality of administrative reform, improving the investment and business environment; developing the economy in parallel with developing culture and people, building a culture rich in Quang Ninh's identity.

The Celebration Program is organized into 3 chapters (Memories of the Mining Region; The Country is Full of Joy and The Land of Mines Shines), each chapter is associated with a certain historical milestone, depicting the spirit of resilience, solidarity, and standing side by side with the spirit of "Discipline and Unity" of the army and people of the Mining Region to liberate and take over the Mining Region; recreating a vivid picture of the lives of miners, demonstrating the spirit of "Indomitable Mining Region - Aspiration for Power" always fighting tirelessly to contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; the collective of people of the mining region together rebuilding their lives, working enthusiastically, contributing to the Ho Chi Minh campaign, completely liberating the South, unifying the country and the expansion of Quang Ninh province to become one of the strongly developing provinces in the North with many outstanding marks, one of the growth poles, economic key points, and major tourist centers of the country and the region.
