Quang Ninh: Over 1,250 hectares of summer-autumn rice are deeply flooded

(QBĐT) - Due to the impact of storm No. 1, on June 12, there was heavy rain in Quang Ninh district, affecting many summer-autumn rice areas.

In Quang Ninh district, this summer-autumn crop is expected to be planted on 3,200 hectares of rice. Up to this point, farmers in the district have planted more than 3,100 hectares.

Many summer-autumn rice areas are flooded.

However, due to the impact of storm No. 1, about 1,250 hectares of newly planted rice were flooded, concentrated in some communes such as Tan Ninh, An Ninh, Vinh Ninh...

To minimize damage caused by heavy rain, local authorities have promoted and advised farmers to grasp weather forecast information to promptly drain water and save rice.
