Que Son: Nearly 10 thousand students participate in extracurricular education programs

(QNO) - On May 19, the People's Committee of Que Son district held a conference to summarize the English extracurricular education program, STEM-oriented education and entrepreneurship education for the period 2019 - 2025.

In 2019, Que Son district cooperated with Teaching for Vietnam Company Limited to implement an extracurriculareducation program with three focuses: English education integrated with 21st century skills, STEM-oriented education and entrepreneurship education.

After 6 years of implementation, Que Son now has 14 primary and secondary schools participating. The total investment cost of the program is nearly 20 billion VND, with local counterpart funding of 134 million VND.

The program organized 379 flexible extracurricular classes, with nearly 10,000 students participating in the study and nearly 2,000 teachers participating in community project activities, contributing to creating an interdisciplinary, modern and creative teaching environment. In addition, the program organized and accompanied schools in implementing 213 community activities and projects.

Through assessment, students have access to modern learning programs, comprehensively developing both knowledge and skills. The rate of meeting learning requirements in the English program is over 88%, STEM-oriented education is over 50% and entrepreneurship education is over 70%.
