In Vietnam, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the whole country has recorded 148 scattered cases of COVID-19 in 27 provinces and cities; there have been no deaths.

However, to proactively respond to the epidemic situation, medical facilities are required to prepare facilities, isolation areas, medical equipment and supplies to organize admission, isolation, diagnosis, treatment and carry out infection control work.

In particular, hospitals need to strengthen infection prevention measures, especially respiratory infections, to minimize the spread of disease in medical facilities. At the same time, there must be solutions to ensure safety for patients in high-risk groups such as pregnant women, people with underlying diseases, the elderly, as well as in intensive care, cardiovascular, dialysis, and surgical areas.

The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management also requested units to seriously report cases according to the provisions of Circular No. 54, dated December 28, 2015 of the Minister of Health .

People coming to and returning from countries with high numbers of COVID-19 cases need to proactively monitor their health status to prevent COVID-19 for themselves, their families and close contacts.

The Ministry of Health will continue to coordinate with the World Health Organization to closely monitor the COVID-19 epidemic situation worldwide and develop appropriate and effective disease prevention measures.

To proactively prevent the COVID-19 epidemic, the Ministry of Health continues to recommend that people take the following measures: Wear masks in public places, on public transport, at medical facilities; Limit gatherings in crowded places (if not necessary). Wash hands regularly with clean water, soap or antiseptic solution; increase physical activity, training, and proper nutrition. When having symptoms of fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, go immediately to the nearest medical facility for timely examination, monitoring, and treatment.
