New regulation: Female workers will have gynecological examination during regular health check-ups

Circular 09/2023/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health stipulates that female workers are entitled to gynecological examinations during periodic health check-ups.

The Ministry of Health has just issued Circular 09/2023/TT-BYT dated May 5, 2023 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular 14/2013/TT-BYT dated May 6, 2013 of the Minister of Health Guiding health examination.

In which, amend and supplement Clause 3, Article 6 of Circular 14/2013/TT-BYT as follows:

In case of periodic health check-ups, the examination is according to the content recorded in the Periodic Health Check-up Book specified in Appendix 3a issued with this Circular (The new book form adds the content of obstetrics and gynecology history examination; obstetrics clinical examination).

For female workers, when having periodic health check-ups, they are given gynecological examinations according to the list specified in Appendix 3b issued with this Circular.

According to Appendix 3b, female workers during periodic health check-ups are given gynecological examinations, including 4 contents:

1- Gynecological examination;

2- Cervical cancer screening;

3- Breast cancer screening;

4- Ultrasound of uterus and adnexa (when indicated by the examining doctor).

Circular 09/2023/TT-BYT takes effect from June 20, 2023.
