Viettel Global (VGI) has just announced its audited consolidated financial report for the first quarter of 2024. Accordingly, Viettel Global's revenue continued to grow impressively by 22%, with after-tax profit increasing by 175% over the same period in the first quarter of 2023. The report shows that the sales and service revenue of Viettel Global Investment Joint Stock Corporation (Viettel Global - VGI) reached VND 7,907 billion, an increase of 22% over the first quarter of 2023. This is an impressive growth rate for a telecommunications enterprise in the context of the world being almost saturated with this service. In the first quarter of 2024, all 9 markets grew strongly, including 5 markets with double-digit growth such as Lumitel in Burundi (29%), Unitel in Laos (24%), Movitel in Mozambique (22%), Natcom in Haiti (18%), Metfone in Cambodia (13%).

Revenue grew positively, Viettel Global's consolidated profit after tax in the first quarter of 2024 reached VND 1,633 billion, an increase of 175% over the same period in 2023. According to the 2023 Annual Report announced by the enterprise on April 19, in 2024, Viettel Global aims to maintain a double-digit growth rate, in which traditional telecommunications growth is >10%, non-telecommunications services grow from 20-30%. To expand growth sources, Asian markets focus on developing IT infrastructure, Data center, Cloud, Big data. African and American markets focus on developing new digital services based on 4G platforms and broadband internet services, preparing for 5G to meet the growing needs of users. According to the audited financial report for 2023, Viettel Global's total consolidated sales and service revenue in 2023 reached VND 28,200 billion, an increase of 19.4% compared to 2022. Converted at the exchange rate at the end of 2023, Viettel Global's revenue was equivalent to 1.18 billion USD. All 9 market companies of Viettel Global recorded growth, of which 4 markets had revenue growth of over 20%, including: Viettel Haiti (+36.2%), Viettel Mozambique (+28.2%), Viettel Myanmar (+20.2%) and Viettel Timor (+20.3%). Revenue grew positively, Viettel Global's consolidated pre-tax profit in 2023 reached VND 3,879 billion, an increase of 28.7% compared to 2022. Consolidated after-tax profit reached VND 1,647 billion, an increase of VND 107 billion compared to 2022.
