Việt Nam•14/08/2024
After a series of difficulties were gradually resolved, last June, the Dam Nha Mac Intersection project was restarted and focused on construction again. The investor and contractors are striving to complete and put the project into use by the end of 2024.
Dam Nha Mac Interchange - the largest intersection in the province today, is being constructed on an area of 83.4 hectares, starting at the end of 2020. The project is designed as a complete asterisk-shaped interconnected grade-separated intersection with 8 branches with a total length of 8.095 km. This is the intersection connecting the Ha Long - Hai Phong expressway with the riverside route running through the western part of the province, which is identified as the economic transition center of high-tech industries. During the construction process, the project encountered many difficulties, such as: Completing procedures for converting forest land was 16 months behind schedule; sources of filling materials were scarce; the design adjusted the elevation of the red line by 0.5-1.2m at each location to match the new planning... The Provincial People's Committee had to adjust the completion schedule to the end of 2024. In June 2024, the difficulties were gradually resolved, the project restarted, and contractors began stripping and loading soil to construct the roadbed of the branches. For items not affected by design adjustments, weak ground treatment such as underpass expansion, construction has been completed to date. The connecting roads to the Ha Long - Hai Phong expressway have also been basically completed. The contractor is carrying out construction of embankment reinforcement of negative slopes of branch routes and road surfaces, and traffic safety infrastructure. The contractor is gathering materials and installing a mixing station at the construction site to ensure continuous construction of all items, determined to complete the project by the end of 2024 according to the project adjustment plan.
