Quynh Nhai leaves no one behind

Promoting the tradition of “helping each other”, not leaving anyone behind, Quynh Nhai commune focuses on fully and promptly resolving policies for people with meritorious services and social protection beneficiaries. At the same time, helping people access and enjoy medical, cultural and educational services; supporting plant and animal varieties, contributing to increasing income, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty sustainably.

Quynh Nhai commune leaders gave gifts to war invalids' families on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Nhai Commune, informed: To ensure social security, every year, the commune surveys and evaluates the current situation and causes of the rate of poor and near-poor households, and implements policies to support poor households in economic development. At the same time, it promotes the role of the Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations in hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.

Responding to the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune actively coordinated to review and count the number of households with temporary and dilapidated houses in need of housing support. In the period of 2020-2025, the commune eliminated 87 temporary and dilapidated houses, with a total cost of 3 billion 370 million VND; launched a campaign to support nearly 1 billion VND to support 2,000 poor people to celebrate Tet, poor students who overcome difficulties to study well, poor people who are sick, in trouble and other subjects...

The commune's political-mass organizations have practical ways to support members in sustainable poverty reduction, such as providing agricultural equipment and materials on a deferred payment basis; training and fostering vocational skills to improve professional qualifications and skills for members, meeting the requirements of rural economic development. In addition, the organizations also build savings models to help members in difficult circumstances. Typically, the Commune Women's Union, from 2020 to now, has maintained the model of saving rice jars, saving money, and has donated 1,746 kg of rice, 743 loads of firewood and more than 23 million VND to help 92 women members in difficult circumstances and 1 orphan.

Promoting the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", the Party Committee, the government and mass organizations in the area have also done a good job of taking care of the families of people with meritorious services to the revolution. Since the beginning of the year, the specialized department has received and resolved 27 dossiers requesting regimes related to people with meritorious services; received and proposed adjusting 3 dossiers of martyr worship allowances. Monthly allowances were paid to 506 people with meritorious services, with a budget of more than 1 billion 758 million VND; insurance payments were made to 1,012 subjects, with a budget of more than 106 million VND... Visits were organized and nearly 600 gifts were given to people with meritorious services to the revolution on the occasion of holidays and Tet, with a total budget of more than 500 million VND. Up to now, 95% of families of people with meritorious services have a standard of living equal to or higher than the average standard of living of the local people.

Previously, the 4/4 war invalid Cam Van Hia and his wife, in Dan Danh sub-district, lived in a dilapidated stilt house. In addition to the monthly allowance of more than 3 million VND, at the end of 2024, his family received 30 million VND to repair the house. Mr. Hia emotionally shared: With the attention of the Party, the State, and the local government, my family has a solid house. Not only that, on holidays and Tet, my family is visited, encouraged, and given gifts by the Party Committee, the commune government, and people in the sub-district.

With the goal of achieving an average income per capita of 76 million VND/person/year by 2030; the multidimensional poverty rate is reduced to 4%, Quynh Nhai commune synchronously implements policies, practical support activities and promotes socio-economic development, improving people's lives.
