Wishing to preserve for the younger generation and future generations stories about the sacrifices and service to the Fatherland of intelligence soldiers, author Nguyen Quang Chanh has worked hard to create the book Telling Stories of the Heroic H.63 Intelligence Group .
On June 10, at the Youth Cultural House (4 Pham Ngoc Thach, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), a book launch program was held to introduce the story of the heroic H.63 Intelligence Group by author Nguyen Quang Chanh, published by Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House.
Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Minh Triet, formerPresident ; Pham Chanh Truc, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Ho Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Colonel Nguyen Van Tau (aka Tu Cang), former Head of Cluster H.63, along with many guests and readers.

I was fortunate to meet and talk with many people in the Defense Intelligence industry such as: former Head of Intelligence Department of Region B2 Nguyen Duc Tri (Sau Tri), former Head of Intelligence Department of P.73 Nguyen Xuan Manh (Muoi Nho), former Head of Strategic Intelligence Group H.63 Nguyen Van Tau (Tu Cang)...
Thanks to that, author Nguyen Quang Chanh had the opportunity to listen to their vivid and fascinating stories about the intelligence force during the resistance war against the US to save the country. From the desire to preserve for the younger generation and future generations the example of sacrifice and service to the Fatherland of the intelligence soldiers, the author truthfully recorded the stories of the insiders about the H.63 Intelligence Group.

With nearly 200 pages, Telling the Story of the Heroic H.63 Intelligence Group brings colorful and legendary stories, in which Major General Pham Xuan An has been told and written about from many perspectives.
In addition, the book also contains very ordinary stories about the members of H.63 that not everyone has heard. Along with that are stories about their fate after the war ended with the joys and sorrows, ups and downs in life.

Author Nguyen Quang Chanh is a scientist by background but has a special interest in the intelligence industry as well as those working in the industry. In 2020, he published the book Heroes who live forever in the hearts of the people (Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House), and Telling the story of the heroic H.63 Intelligence Group is a continuation of that theme.

According to author Nguyen Quang Chanh, many readers have known the book X6 - Perfect Spy by Larry Berman.
“That was a book written by a foreigner about Intelligence Major General Pham Xuan An. With this book, I focus on writing about the people behind Major General Pham Xuan An. This is the perfect piece for readers to learn about the heroic H.63 Intelligence Group,” author Nguyen Quang Chanh shared.

The greatest wish of author Nguyen Quang Chanh when launching this book is for today's generation, especially the young people, to look back at the lessons of history, so that their children and grandchildren will not have to carry guns anymore.
He expressed: “No one involved wanted that war to happen. Now is the era of peace and cooperation, we must close that painful past, but closing does not mean forgetting, but we bring it up to show gratitude to the previous generation. Because, having peace today is thanks to the blood and bones of many people; at the same time, bringing it up to avoid possible wars.”

At the book launch, author Nguyen Quang Chanh prepared 15 gifts including the book Storytelling of the Heroic Intelligence Group H.63 signed by Colonel Nguyen Van Tau and a pen. Each gift was sold for 2 million VND. The proceeds will be donated to the family of Ms. Hai Anh (inner-city traffic officer of Group H.63).

According to author Nguyen Quang Chanh, when Mrs. Hai Anh was still alive, he shared with her about the book and expressed his wish to give her the book. However, that wish did not come true when Mrs. Hai Anh passed away before the book was published. Therefore, he wishes to join hands with everyone to contribute to the restoration of her grave.
After just a few minutes of on-site sales, 43.5 million VND was collected. Author Nguyen Quang Chanh gave all of this money to the representative of Ms. Hai Anh's family.
The representative of Ms. Hai Anh's family accepted the kindness and sent thanks to the author and everyone, and at the same time wished to return the above amount to take care of the families of former intelligence officers who are still in difficulty.
Mr. Tran Tan Cong, the fourth son of Mrs. Hai Anh, shared privately with SGGP: “My family and I are very touched by the kindness and concern of the Intelligence Group, author Nguyen Quang Chanh and everyone. Currently, my family is no longer in difficulty and has finished taking care of my mother's grave. I know that many uncles and aunts in the Intelligence Group are still in difficulty, so I want to share with you.”
