Attending the event were comrade Lu Cong Tao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Government Offices and Enterprises; Mr. Thai Van Chuan, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Youth Union Movement Committee; Mr. Nguyen Trong Nhan, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union of the Provincial Government Offices and Enterprises; Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Han, Secretary of the Tra Cu District Youth Union, leaders of the Party Committee and People's Committee of Thanh Son commune, and 40 volunteer soldiers.
The 2023 “Pink Holiday” volunteer campaign takes place from July 15 to August 20, with the theme “Youth Union of the Bloc pioneers in digital transformation, volunteering to join hands in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas”.
Comrade Lu Cong Tao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of State Agencies and Enterprises and Comrade Ngo Thi Dieu Huong, Secretary of the Thanh Son Commune Party Committee awarded scholarships to students.
The campaign is divided into 4 phases: phase 1 on July 15, in Thanh Son commune, Tra Cu district; phase 2 on July 23, in Tan Hiep commune, Tra Cu district; phase 3: on July 29, in Long Hiep commune, Tra Cu district; phase 4: on August 5, in Long Vinh commune, Duyen Hai district.
There are over 600 forces (Youth Union, workers, civil servants, and public employees) participating. Of which, the Youth Union of the Bloc has 100 soldiers participating in 02 formations (formation for young workers; formation for young cadres, civil servants, and public employees); 40 soldiers participating in activities in the form of specialized formations of the province and 460 local response forces.
Handing over the "Youth House" to Mr. Thach Thuonge's family, Giong Ong Thin hamlet, Thanh Son commune, Tra Cu district.
The campaign sets out the following objectives:
(1) Organized medical examination and provided free medicine to 200 people.
(2) Upgrading and repairing 500m of rural roads.
(3) Construct 03 new "Youth Houses".
(4) Construct a new 01 "solar street light line" project 02km long and 01 "country road lighting" project 02km long.
(5) Gave 20 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, former youth volunteers, people in difficult circumstances, and lonely elderly people.
(6) Support and help at least 50 children in difficult circumstances.
(7) Organize for at least 1,000 young people to participate in activities to support foreign language proficiency improvement and international integration.
(8) Organize 02 digital capacity building activities for at least 800 youth and children in the Block.
(9) Support the implementation of at least 10 ideas and initiatives of young union members.
(10) Organize career counseling for 150 young people, strive to introduce jobs to 60 young people.
(11) Strive for at least 500 young people to participate in volunteer activities.
(12) Organized 01 activity to prevent drowning, injuries, and child abuse; 02 training courses on the OCOP program for 60 rural youth union members; 01 activity to promote seas and islands for 60 cadres and youth union members.
(13) Support 01 innovative startup project and 01 startup idea for young people in the field of environmental protection and climate change response.
Mr. Lam Chi Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union of State Agencies and Enterprises, presented resources to support innovative start - up projects .
This year's campaign, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union of State Agencies and Enterprises mobilized organizations and individuals to support resources to donate to Tra Cu District Youth Union to carry out projects and tasks with a total value of 300 million VND.
At the launching ceremony, the Youth Union presented 2 gifts to 2 heroic Vietnamese mothers (Mother Le Thi Tuyet and Mother Chau Thi Di) both residing in Ba Tuc A hamlet, Thanh Son commune, each gift worth 1 million VND; 10 scholarships for disadvantaged students in Thanh Son commune, each worth 500,000 VND; launched a project to pour gravel on a 150m long rural road; and handed over 1 "Youth House" worth 50 million VND to a young union member with housing difficulties.
Officials and Youth Union members of the Provincial CCQ-DN Bloc visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Chau Thi Di, Ba Tuc A Hamlet, Thanh Son Commune.
At the same time, resources were awarded to support 02 innovative start-up projects and start-up projects in the field of environmental protection and climate change response (5 million VND/project).
Volunteer soldiers of "Pink Vacation" participated in the construction of rural roads in Soc Cha B hamlet, Thanh Son commune, Tra Cu district.
