Nha Que Coffee Shop (Ta Danh Commune, Tri Ton District, An Giang Province) has been open for 6 months now, attracting about 200 visitors from near and far every day. The first special thing that makes visitors excited is being picked up and dropped off by a motorbike taxi, from Provincial Road 941 to the shop (about 300m).
Every decoration in the shop evokes memories of decades ago in the countryside of the South. This model is applied by many shops, but still brings certain emotions to visitors, especially the generation 8X and before.
The rental costumes help customers enhance their experience of immersing themselves in the countryside, from traditional long dresses, traditional Vietnamese dresses, to classic suits; for both children and young men and women.
“I saw on social media a cafe in the middle of the rice field was introduced, so I invited everyone to come and play. It was really cool and comfortable. My family has always been farming, but I never thought that one day the rice field would become a cafe like this!” – Ms. Mai (living in Chau Thanh district, An Giang province) expressed.
The design blends modern and traditional, urban and rural, making the space of the restaurant special and attractive. In addition, many "check-in" corners on high allow people to freely admire the fields and take souvenir photos.
Of course, in addition to the comfort and coolness of the wind wandering through the fields, there is also the harsh sunlight typical of “plowing the fields at noon”. No problem, tourists still accept to brave the sun to experience field coffee.
There, the drink is just a small part of the “going to drink coffee” process. What they pay attention to is the green countryside around them, watching the “milky” rice grains, instead of the small, air-conditioned coffee shops in the city.
It all started from the idea of the family of Ms. Tran Thi Gia Hanh (born in 1989). After nurturing it for a whole year, they built it little by little, using the labor of each member, limiting the hiring of outside workers. They wanted to bring a model that had never existed in the locality, but was extremely attractive to their hometown - which only knew how to produce rice from one crop to the next.
In Tri Ton town (Tri Ton district), Ruong cafe is also quite special, through its airy, youthful decoration, blending with nature.
Many young people leave their writings on the cafe’s wall. They are personal information for everyone to get to know, comments about the cafe, and thoughts they want to leave in a strange place. Most of them are wishes and good messages for those who come after them.
The trend of doing business in rice field coffee, exploiting the natural landscape of the Seven Mountains region to the fullest, will probably be popular in the near future. With their aesthetics and creativity, business people can shorten the distance between the rice fields of the mountainous region and diners, knowing how to renew the familiar to promote the image of their homeland.
