Reviewing the organization of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

On the afternoon of June 12, Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy chaired a meeting of the Organizing Committee members to review and give opinions on the organization of activities to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

The activities are expected to include: Meeting, rewarding and praising outstanding journalists; visiting and congratulating press agencies; visual propaganda and agitation; organizing sports and art performances to welcome; exhibitions to display and introduce achievements of 100 years of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism associated with the achievements of An Giang province's journalism, and exhibitions of press photos before liberation...

Delegates focused on discussing the progress of implementing plans according to the functions of each unit and locality; coordination between units in the preparation and implementation process. In general, the tasks were carried out closely following the set plan; the focus was on promoting the activities in a bold manner, meeting the requirements; completing the organization of the Closing Ceremony, awarding the prize for the Contest of composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme of studying and following the examples of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton in the period of 2024 - 2025; reviewing and finalizing the meeting program content.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy re-emphasized the responsibility of each agency and unit that is a member of the Organizing Committee for activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day in the province. Propaganda activities for the series of events are being carried out very well throughout the province and need to continue to be maintained and promoted. In addition, urgently complete the dossier to submit for commendation to collectives and individuals inside and outside the province with outstanding achievements in press and communication work serving the cause of socio -economic development of the province; carefully organize key activities in the following week (provincial leaders visit and congratulate press agencies, anniversary meetings, etc.).
