The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said the review aims to ensure convenience for passengers when buying tickets and accessing product promotional publications, to avoid confusion about departure and destination points.

At the same time, airlines need to coordinate closely with airports to update information on services related to administrative locations in the area.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam also requested the Vietnam Airports Corporation to direct airports to closely coordinate with airlines to update new information.

Passengers are advised to pay special attention to carefully checking the name of the province or city printed on the flight ticket and the information displayed at the airport to avoid confusion, disruption of the journey or missed flight.

Currently, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and airport authorities have updated their headquarters addresses according to the new administrative boundaries from July 1.

After implementing the arrangement and adjustment of administrative boundaries, some provinces and cities will have 2 airports such as: Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat and Con Dao), Da Nang City (Da Nang and Chu Lai), An Giang (Phu Quoc and Rach Gia), Gia Lai (Pleiku and Phu Cat), Dak Lak (Buon Ma Thuot and Tuy Hoa).
