Based on actual records, this area is located on a steep mountain slope, with weak ground, and many houses are built without a support system. Some locations have been hollowed out, exposing the foundation, with the risk of landslides, threatening the safety of houses, lives and property of people living below.
At the meeting, the Economic - Infrastructure and Urban Department of Vung Tau ward proposed to build a reinforced embankment to prevent and limit landslides, ensuring safety for the residential area at the foot of the mountain.

The working group of the Department of Construction said that it will synthesize the current situation and report to the Department's leaders for timely and synchronous handling to prevent landslides and protect people and property.

As reported, on the night of November 6, Vung Tau ward authorities urgently evacuated 81 people from 17 households out of the dangerous area to ensure safety. According to local authorities, the landslide phenomenon in this area started in October 2022 and is becoming increasingly serious. If there are no early remedial measures, the risk of major impacts on people's lives and livelihoods is very high.
