Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's current contract with Al Nassr expires this summer. He had previously planned to extend his contract for another two years, but negotiations have been delayed recently.
The reason is that Al Nassr had a very bad season when they were completely empty-handed and did not even win a place in the AFC Champions League next season. Since then, there have been many rumors that CR7 will leave Al Nassr after 3 years of association.
Saudi Arabian sports commentator Mohammed Duwaish revealed the news on his personal page: "Ronaldo will leave Al Nassr and his next destination will be nearby clubs. The reason Ronaldo left is because Al Nassr refused his requests such as: changing the coach, recruiting good players... So everything is over."
According to Marca newspaper, Ronaldo has received an attractive offer from an unnamed team in Brazil.
If he agrees, the star could play in the 2025 Club World Cup, where he could potentially face his arch-rival Lionel Messi (Inter Miami). There is also talk of Ronaldo reuniting with Real Madrid. But Ronaldo has yet to officially speak out about his future.
Ronaldo has played 109 matches, scoring 97 goals for Al Nassr in 3 seasons, and has only won the 2023 Arab Club Championship Cup once. If counting his entire career, Ronaldo has scored 934 goals, and he is aiming for the ultimate career goal of 1,000 goals.
