The event aims to effectively implement the goals and tasks in the Resolution, programs and projects on tourism development in Thai Nguyen for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030. Thereby, promoting the potential and strengths of the province's tourism, organizing unique cultural, sports and tourism activities, linking local events to attract tourists and businesses to invest in the tourism sector, enhancing the competitiveness of Thai Nguyen tourism domestically and internationally.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized: Thai Nguyen is a land with rich tourism potential with a system of relics, scenic spots, unique cultural and historical products. The province currently has 13 special national relics, 59 national relics, nearly 300 traditional craft villages, over 300 OCOP products from 3 to 5 stars and 23 national intangible cultural heritages.
With the strength of “First Famous Tea”, Thai Nguyen is also famous domestically and internationally for its delicious tea brand, imbued with the flavor of heaven and earth. The province has been developing 4 tourism product lines associated with tea culture: cultural - historical - spiritual tourism; eco-tourism - resort; community - rural tourism and MICE, sports and discovery tourism.
In the coming time, Thai Nguyen will continue to focus on developing high-end resort tourism products, effectively exploiting the potential of Nui Coc Lake and the eastern slope of Tam Dao. Key projects such as the 6-star international resort of Flamingo Group, Glory Golf Course and Tan Thai Golf Course are being urgently implemented and are expected to come into operation in 2025, promising to become attractive destinations, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.
At the opening ceremony, two new tourist destinations, Suoi Coc Homestay (Thai Nguyen City) and Hao Huc Village (Pho Yen City), were awarded provincial-level tourist destinations. Delegates and visitors enjoyed the unique art program “Thai Nguyen aspires to rise”, performed Ao Dai with tea flowers and visited the exhibition space, promoting tourism products, OCOP products, and tea culture.
Along with the opening ceremony, the Thai Nguyen Culture, Sports and Tourism Week 2025 was also officially launched with many exciting activities such as: experiencing Glosy golf course; operating the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen tourist train route; performing hot air balloons; organizing the Eight Heroes Chess tournament, the national Yoga tournament, the National Traditional Martial Arts Club Championship and the Vietnam - North Korea martial arts exchange.
