On the afternoon of March 22, a 42-second clip appeared on social media, recording the scene of a 16-seat passenger bus driver not paying attention while driving. While driving, the driver held his phone to his ear with his right hand, and used his left hand to scroll through another phone.
According to investigation, the incident happened at around 11:20 am on the same day on National Highway 7, through Nghe An province. The driver (identity unknown) was driving a 16-seat vehicle carrying passengers from Dien Chau district to Con Cuong district.
The incident was filmed by a passenger and posted on social media. According to the passenger, when he saw the driver using his phone, he reminded him but the driver ignored him.
The online community has expressed outrage at the dangerous behavior of drivers carrying passengers on the road.
Currently, the Traffic Police Department - Nghe An Provincial Police is focusing on verifying and clarifying the incident.
