The Culture-Tourism Week celebrating 120 years of Sa Pa town's tourism opened on the evening of September 20.
The event which will last until September 30 is a highlight in the series of 120th celebration of the town's tourism.
The event aims to promoteSa Pa tourism potentialand introduce to the tourists attractive and unique products, towards building Sa Pa into an international tourism destination.
Addressing the week's opening ceremony, Do Van Tan, Vice Chairman of Sa Pa Town People's Committee, said the diversified activities during the weekhold an important meaning in promoting cultural traditions of the land and the people.
It also helps preserve and promote cultural heritage values associated with sustainable tourism and socio-economic development, making tourism a spreadhead economic sector, contributing a high proportion in the town's economic structure, he said.
The Sa Pa's Culture-Tourism Week features ten main activities including “Dance under the moon” and “Dating place” art program with the participation of more than 300 artists, actors and local ethnic people in Sa Pa.
The program is expected to bring tourists interesting experience to nurture the love for the land.
