On July 28, the Thai military released a Defense White Paper for 2024, which includes plans to address security challenges over the next three years.

According to the Bangkok Post , the White Paper provides an overview of the requirements for weapons and related equipment to be equipped for the Thai Army in the coming time, but does not provide details.
According to this document, in addition to armed drones and attack helicopters, the Thai military also mentioned a number of other weapons such as tanks, wheeled armored vehicles, patrol helicopters, transport aircraft, defense radar systems, territorial surveillance systems, communications and intelligence equipment.
According to Commander-in-Chief of the Thai Army, General Charoenchai Hinthao, the White Paper was published to help the public understand the role and development framework of the military.
Mr. Charoenchai noted that the list of weapons mentioned in the White Paper is established based on possible security challenges up to 2027.
