The program is part of a series of nationwide events towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
According to the Organizing Committee, from April 14 to 16, the preliminary round of the festival was held at Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted with the participation of 37 bands and student music groups from public, private and foreign-invested high schools in the city.
Many schools such as: Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Binh Minh High School, Phan Dinh Phung High School; Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, Phan Huy Chu-Dong Da High School... had excellent bands and music groups participating in the final round.

After the exciting performances in the final round, the jury awarded Third Prize to 21 bands; Second Prize to 5 bands; First Prize to 2 bands and Special Prize to 1 band; 6 individuals won thematic prizes.
Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong said that the festival is a creative, modern and unique artistic playground for the young generation. Not only is it a cultural and artistic event, the festival is also a way for the capital's education and training sector to pay tribute to the past and look towards the future.

After this festival, schools and educational institutions in the city will have specific and suitable plans to bring music to a large number of students according to the orientation of the 2018 General Education Program; create conditions for students, bands and music groups to participate, practice and perform regularly at events and playgrounds inside and outside the school, contributing to building a "Happy School".
