Tourist boom forecast
Recently, online booking site Booking.com released data showing that Vung Tau ranked 3rd in the list of domestic tourist destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year. This website also pointed out that the favorite experiences of tourists in Vung Tau are the beautiful sunset and rich cuisine , ideal for enjoying sweet moments during the holiday.
Data from Mustgo, a booking platform with more than 2,000 hotel partners nationwide, also assessed that Ba Ria-Vung Tau continues to be a bright spot attracting domestic tourists during the April 30 holiday. The trend of last-minute bookings is clearly increasing. Up to this point, room occupancy has reached 60-70%, but road visitors from southern provinces will increase rapidly on April 30 and May 1.
Mr. Hoang Ngoc Linh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association, said that the demand for rooms at accommodation establishments, especially resorts and hotels along the coast, is increasing every hour. On May 1 and 2, most of the accommodation establishments were fully booked. On April 30, after watching the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country in Ho Chi Minh City, tourists will definitely flock to Ba Ria-Vung Tau to cool off, at which time the entire accommodation and service sector will certainly be bustling.
Facing the trend of last-minute bookings, the tourism industry has been proactive in ensuring the best supply. Since the end of March, tourist attractions and accommodation establishments have started designing menus, buffet programs, entertainment, enhancing the experience for tourists, and preparing seasonal workers so as not to be passive when the number of visitors suddenly increases.
Localities also focus on security and safety, maintaining a clean image; arranging lifeguards on duty at sea, providing guidance on safe swimming and preparing emergency plans and assistance in case of incidents.
