By August 15, at Yen Tu Relic and Landscape Complex (Yen Tu Ward, Quang Ninh Province), preparations for the Ceremony to Announce the Outstanding Global Value of the World Cultural Heritage Complex of Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem-Con Son, Kiep Bac Relics and Landscapes were basically completed.

Accordingly, the main stage has completed about 85% of the construction items. Over the past few days, more than 700 actors and artists from various performing groups have practiced at many different locations in the province. On the afternoon of August 14, the entire force began practicing at Minh Tam Square, preparing for the preliminary rehearsal on the evening of August 15.

The program has the participation of many famous singers and artists such as: Thanh Thanh Hien, Ngoc Anh, Thu Hang, Vu Thang Loi, Dong Hung, Tong Xuan Tung, Viet Danh, Soobin Hoang Son; conductor Dong Quang Vinh; Tre Dance Group; along with theaters, art troupes, cultural clubs inside and outside the province.

The stage of the program is designed to harmonize the performing arts and the spiritual space of Yen Tu. The central position is the symbol of Truc Lam Buddhism, combined with lighting effects, music and performances recreating the historical-cultural journey of the heritage complex. The sound system, lighting, and large LED screen are being installed to ensure the schedule and aesthetic requirements.

In particular, right after the art program, a high-altitude fireworks display will light up the Yen Tu sky, bringing the audience into a unique cultural and musical space amidst the sacred mountains, where the eternal sounds of heritage echo.

The Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem-Con Son-Kiep Bac relic and landscape complex was officially recognized as a World Cultural Heritage on July 12 at the 47th Session of the World Heritage Committee (UNESCO) taking place from July 6-16 in Paris, France.

This is the 9th World Heritage in Vietnam recognized by UNESCO and the 2nd inter-provincial World Heritage in Vietnam, along with the World Heritage Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago (in Quang Ninh province and Hai Phong city).

The announcement ceremony is not only an activity to honor the special value of Yen Tu Heritage but also an opportunity to widely promote the image, culture and people of Quang Ninh to domestic and international friends; at the same time, it is an important political event contributing to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The announcement ceremony began at 8:00 p.m. on August 17, organized by the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province in coordination with the People's Committee of Hai Phong city, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Quang Ninh province.

The program includes: a press conference announcing the results of UNESCO's registration; the "Yen Tu - Autumn Zen" festival honoring the Truc Lam Buddhist cultural space (afternoon of August 17) and a special art program broadcast live on VTV2, VTV4, VTV Go, QTV1, QTV3, and rebroadcast on a number of provincial and municipal television channels nationwide.

The event is not only an opportunity to honor the more than 12 years of efforts in preparing the heritage dossier, but also an opportunity to strongly promote the image of Vietnamese heritage to the world. The announcement ceremony also contributes to raising awareness of preserving and promoting the value of national cultural heritage, while creating momentum for sustainable tourism development in the Northeast region of the country./.
