The organizers requested that the song about Tuoi Tre both demonstrate the formation and development of the newspaper over the past 50 years, and reflect the dedication of Tuoi Tre journalists and readers meeting in the goal of serving readers.
In just a short time, there have been compositions from authors who have special feelings for Tuoi Tre .
Half a Century Journey Through Music
Musician Le Vinh Phuc and singer Nguyen Phi Hung were the two authors who sent songs the earliest. Each author sent two songs. Le Vinh Phuc with Love of Tuoi Tre Newspaper and Tuoi Tre - Pen of the Heart . Nguyen Phi Hung composed the songs Bai ca Tuoi Tre and Nhiet huyet Tuoi Tre .
Nguyen Phi Hung shared: "With a persistent journey for readers, Tuoi Tre is a bridge to deliver fast, accurate news, carrying positive messages. Tuoi Tre is always a steadfast belief, organizing and launching many meaningful activities to support the disadvantaged, encouraging students to overcome difficulties, adding confidence, and guiding them towards good values."
For Le Vinh Phuc, Tuoi Tre newspaper has been a long-time companion, the two songs are like his sincere feelings sent to Tuoi Tre and the newspaper team.
Musician Mai Tram accepted the invitation to participate in composing because of her love for Tuoi Tre newspaper. She shared that Tuoi Tre is always the newspaper she trusts and loves, not only for its multi-dimensional and accurate information but also for its quick updates on hot issues.

Musician Quynh Le said she was very touched when she received the invitation to compose a song about Tuoi Tre because she had wanted to work at Tuoi Tre but was not lucky enough. This time she had the chance to express her feelings for the newspaper.
Musician Pham Hong Bien with the song "My Youth" as a simple gratitude he wants to send to the newspaper that has always accompanied many generations of Vietnamese people: "When writing this article, I thought a lot about the spirit of Youth : dedication, aspiration and responsibility. I want the music to convey that positive energy as a gentle but inspiring message to Tuoi Tre reporters as well as readers who have accompanied the newspaper."

Musician Nguyen Ba Hung has been associated with Tuoi Tre newspaper for a long time through its movement activities: "My love for Tuoi Tre does not stop at reading the newspaper, but also respect for the newspaper's contributions to the development of society and the maturity of many young generations. Ba Hung said that when he wrote the first notes for the song " Our Youth" , a very special feeling welled up inside him because "Tuoi Tre" is not only a newspaper but also a part of memory, a companion of many generations.
"I want to convey in the song my deep respect for the newspaper's proud 50-year journey. It is a journey of dedication, of a never-ending flame of enthusiasm, of newspaper pages imbued with the breath of life and a high sense of responsibility to society" - Nguyen Ba Hung shared.
He affirmed: " Tuoi Tre is not only a newspaper to read every day but also an indispensable spiritual friend."
Writing about Youth is not easy
Musician Nguyen Quoc Viet admitted that writing a song about Tuoi Tre is "a very big topic, not easy to write about at all". He was both happy and worried when he accepted the invitation to compose. He said: "I am happy because Tuoi Tre newspaper trusted me and invited me to compose. I am also worried because Tuoi Tre is a big brand, to write a song it must be on the right level".
"I was moved to know that in order to have unique articles or reports, many reporters have to sacrifice, have to transform into the characters in the article, to get the materials. So in the lyrics, I wrote "many members have slept on thorns and tasted bile". I admire the reporters who have to suffer to have good articles, articles of value" - Nguyen Quoc Viet confided.

Musician Ha Chuong said he has been with Tuoi Tre for nearly 20 years, since he released his first album in 2005. He said he is grateful to Tuoi Tre because almost every music product he releases is reported by Tuoi Tre .
"Chuong believes that participating in composing can contribute a small part to the overall development of Tuoi Tre . The lyrics and melody in the song are like the footsteps of Tuoi Tre reporters who always sacrifice themselves, not afraid of danger or distance. Because I have so much affection for Tuoi Tre , I have difficulty knowing how to convey all the ideas" - Ha Chuong confided.
The jury had fun with the songs
Musician Nguyen Duc Trung acknowledged the enthusiasm and love for Tuoi Tre of the musicians who sent in their songs. He said that to write good songs about Tuoi Tre newspaper, one must truly understand and love Tuoi Tre : "Music needs youthful qualities that are consistent with the development of society and the country. Along with the development is the growth of Tuoi Tre , it needs materials that are modern and youthful but do not lose the purpose of the newspaper."
Musician Nguyen Van Hien frankly shared: "There are authors who do not have memories associated with Tuoi Tre , so their lyrics lack affection for the newspaper. Therefore, the content is not deep and is written in general terms."
Not only reviewing the song, musician Nguyen Van Hien also wrote the song Tuoi Tre - For a new world for the newspaper. He had a long time collaborating with Tuoi Tre under the pen name An Trung.
"After you finished writing, I saw that there were many issues that had not been fully discussed about Tuoi Tre , typically the nature of journalism today, using technology to deliver news quickly, so I wrote this song as a gift for Tuoi Tre ," he said.
