Resolution 57-NQ/TW "ignites" creativity. Sao Khue 2025 honors pioneering digital "warriors".

Bright On April 19, 2025, in a solemn atmosphere, the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) held the Sao Khue Award Ceremony 2025, marking an impressive year of breakthroughs for the country's information technology industry . The event, sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) , brought together over 700 delegates, including leaders from ministries and agencies, leading experts, and representatives from 129 outstanding digital technology enterprises.

With the theme " Innovation - Reaching New Heights , " the Sao Khue Awards 2025 honored 198 outstanding digital platforms, services, and solutions across nine different sectors. This is not only a testament to the remarkable growth of Vietnam's IT industry but also a strong commitment to achieving the goal of having the digital economy contribute 20% of GDP by 2025, realizing the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Party.

The Sao Khue Awards 2025 honored 198 outstanding digital platforms, services, and solutions, spanning nine different sectors.

A glorious journey and impressive numbers.

Launched on December 27, 2024, the 22nd Sao Khue Awards voting program witnessed a new record in scale, attracting over 500 nominations from leading technology companies nationwide. Through three rigorous evaluation rounds, the National Final Selection Council, chaired by Dr. Nguyen Quan – former Minister of Science and Technology – along with 40 reputable experts, selected 198 of the most deserving nominees.

The awards presented covered many important categories, reflecting the diversity and innovative capacity of the industry: 5 outstanding solutions for digital transformation in government, administration, and the public sector; 19 outstanding nominations for community and citizen initiatives; 34 outstanding nominations for promoting corporate governance; 11 outstanding digital transformation solutions in the economic and industrial sectors; 29 outstanding digital solutions in the market and consumer sectors; 26 outstanding technology platforms and infrastructures; 11 innovative solutions; 42 new software products and services; and 21 pioneering solutions in digital services.

In particular, the Council selected 25 outstanding nominees to award the Sao Khue 5-star rating, recognizing products and services that excel in technology, economic efficiency, and social impact. This is the highest number of 5-star awards in the history of the award. In addition, 9 pioneering products and services were honored to be named in the Top 10 Sao Khue 2025, the most prestigious category of the award, focusing on fields such as insurance, finance, banking, education, and IT system management.

This year's awards not only honor current achievements but also reveal key technological trends shaping Vietnam's future :

i) Intelligent Governance: A Foundation for Enhancing Efficiency and Competitiveness . This field continues to lead in the number of nominations and awards, with 34 solutions contributing to the improvement of business management practices. Notably, Vietnamese businesses have quickly adopted artificial intelligence (AI) to develop AI agents for each business function, bringing practical benefits such as reducing paperwork, shortening approval times, and minimizing errors.

ii) Developing Digital Government and Digital Society: A Strong Step Forward . Vietnam's impressive rise in international e-government and innovation indices is a testament to its continuous efforts in providing online public services. The 24 awards in this field demonstrate the close collaboration between digital technology businesses and the government, particularly in applying AI to optimize resources and improve service quality in key sectors such as education, healthcare, and finance.

iii ) Investing heavily in AI and digital infrastructure: Paving the way for knowledge growth. The breakthrough in AI research and application, especially GenAI, is a highlight. AI not only optimizes operations but also creates AI agents with superior capabilities, promising to usher Vietnam into a phase of "knowledge-driven growth." Alongside this, the demand for high-quality digital infrastructure is also increasing sharply, prompting large corporations to invest in modern data centers and advanced security solutions.

The Sao Khue Awards 2025 is not only an event of honor , but also a strong affirmation of the creativity, self-reliance, and aspiration for growth of Vietnam's IT industry, responding to the call from Resolution 57-NQ/ TW . According to statistics, technology businesses contributed 18.3% to GDP in 2024 with a growth rate of 20%. The 198 nominees for this year's Sao Khue Awards alone generated nearly 48,000 billion VND in revenue, accounting for almost 20% of the industry's total revenue .
