In recent years, in Vietnam, e-commerce in general and cross-border e-commerce in particular have developed strongly. With retail revenue growing at an average of more than 20% per year, e-commerce has opened up great opportunities for Vietnamese micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to expand their markets, improve their competitiveness and access international customers more conveniently. This not only helps businesses overcome geographical barriers and reduce costs, but also promotes global economic integration and enhances the presence of Vietnamese goods in the international market. MSMEs can take advantage of this opportunity to develop their brands, expand their partner networks and improve product quality to meet the tastes of global consumers.

In order to support and provide an overview of the Vietnamese and international e-commerce market, introduce models and solutions to support MSMEs to promote online exports, on November 26, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will organize the E-commerce Connection and Development Forum 2024 (ECCDF 2024) at the Hanoi Museum, with the participation of many experts and leading e-commerce enterprises from Vietnam and countries in the Asian region.

With the theme "Cross-border e-commerce: Export opportunities for Vietnamese products", ECCDF 2024 focuses on exploiting the potential and opportunities for developing cross-border e-commerce (CBE) in Vietnam; the current situation, challenges and solutions to promote cross-border exports for Vietnamese products. Along with that, presentations from representatives of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy; Representatives of enterprises operating e-commerce services; International partners will share policies, legal basis and export potential through CBE in Vietnam; Experience in promoting cross-border e-commerce of some Asian countries...

In addition, the Forum is also an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to connect directly with partners from China, Korea and ASEAN. 1:1 networking sessions and presentations from international business representatives will share experiences in successfully implementing CBE, helping Vietnamese businesses gain more valuable lessons.

In the working session taking place on the afternoon of November 26, the Forum will continue with the content on the application of advanced technology in CBE, from AI to international payment solutions. In particular, a special highlight is the launch of the Online Export Support Ecosystem, which promises to become a powerful tool for businesses in their journey to conquer the international market.

The 2024 Cross-Border E-Commerce Forum is not only a place to share knowledge but also a bridge for Vietnamese businesses to reach out to the world . With the participation of leading domestic and foreign experts, the event promises to create strong changes for Vietnam's e-commerce in the coming time.
