It features a 60MP full-frame sensor - promising not only higher resolution than the SL2's 46.7MP but also greater dynamic range. It also has image stabilization - allowing for longer exposure times of 6.5 f-stops without a tripod, compared to the Leica SL2's 5.5 f-stops.
Leica SL3 is coming soon.
The camera can take up to 9 photos per second, which can refer to autofocus and auto exposure capabilities.
Leica is also getting a video upgrade – the maximum resolution is expected to increase from 5K to 8K, with the frame rate limited to 30fps and only a portion of the sensor being used. The SL3 can shoot C4K video at 4,096 x 2,160 resolution at 60fps across the entire sensor area.
The Leica SL3 camera will be launched in the first quarter of 2024 or at the latest by the end of March. The specific price of the device has not been revealed yet.
