- According to statistics from the Department of Construction of Lang Son , from the beginning of May to June 18, 2025, many heavy rains occurred in the province, causing landslides at 149 positive and negative slopes on national highways, border patrol roads and provincial roads.
Specifically, on the national highway, there were 29 landslide locations at national highways 1B, 279, 3B, 4A and 31 with a landslide volume of about 6,200 m3 of soil and rock; on the border patrol road and provincial road, there were 120 landslide locations with a volume of nearly 4,000 m3 of soil and rock at provincial roads 226, 229, 230, 231, 232, 233, 239, 241, 243, 246, Tan Minh-Quoc Khanh border patrol routes, markers 999-1017 of Trang Dinh district. The total damage caused by landslides is estimated at nearly 1.3 billion VND.
Regarding the repair of landslide locations, the units assigned to manage and regularly maintain the roads have finished clearing landslides on the positive slopes; are currently handling the rock-gabion embankments at 15 landslide locations on the negative slopes, expected to be completed in early July 2025, and are also installing warning signs to ensure smooth traffic.
It is known that the rainy and stormy season is now underway, and businesses assigned to manage and regularly maintain roads are closely following the developments of the rainy and flood weather, preparing vehicles, human resources, and materials to handle incidents caused by natural disasters according to the "4 on-site" motto, ensuring construction safety and traffic safety for people and vehicles traveling on the roads.
