On the afternoon of August 18, after completing the second national virtual filtering process and the third virtual filtering process for the Southern group, the expected benchmark score of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry (IUH) gradually emerged.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Head of Training Department, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, said that the trend of standard scores for the school's majors is still going as previously predicted.
Accordingly, the benchmark for considering high school graduation exam scores may decrease slightly and other methods may increase compared to last year.
In particular, "hot" industries such as: Mechanics, automation, electricity - electronics... still retain their "attraction". If there is a decrease, the decrease is not significant and some industries even have increased their benchmark scores compared to last year.

With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the expected standard score for many majors is between 22-25 points. Correspondingly, the expected standard score for considering high school transcripts is 25-29 points. The method of considering the capacity assessment exam scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University is at 750-900 points.
Explaining these changes, Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan said that the new regulation requires educational institutions to comply with the correlation function between admission scores of the methods.
This forced schools to refine data to ensure uniformity in input quality, leading to a shift in benchmark scores compared to last year.
Previously, IUH announced the minimum score for general majors is 18 points, and for the English enhancement program is 17 points. Law majors have a minimum score of 18 points, with the condition that the score for literature or math must be at least 6.0.
Last year, the school's high school graduation exam benchmark increased in most majors, with a common increase of 0.5-2.5 points. The majors with the strongest increases were electrical and electronic engineering technology, thermal engineering technology, and international law.
The two majors with the highest admission scores are international business and economic law with 26 points. The lowest are thermal engineering technology, food technology, and biotechnology in the English program, all with 18 points.
