SEMIExpo Vietnam 2024 will be held in Vietnam for the first time on the semiconductor industry

The Semiconductor Industry Exhibition is being held for the first time in Vietnam. SEMIExpo Vietnam 2024 is a forum for large corporations and enterprises in the world to come and discuss ways to support Vietnamese enterprises to participate more deeply in the global semiconductor supply and production chain, thereby enhancing Vietnam's position in this field. SEMIExpo Vietnam 2024 also creates opportunities for enterprises in the semiconductor value chain, from assembly and testing, to design and manufacturing of microchips. At the press conference about the event taking place this afternoon (October 23) in Hanoi, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of the National Innovation Center, emphasized: “SEMIExpo Vietnam 2024 is a proactive step of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, as a strategic advisory agency for socio -economic development, implementing tasks in the Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy and the Human Resource Development Program for the Semiconductor Industry, focusing on promoting international cooperation, in order to mobilize resources for the development of the semiconductor industry, connecting investment and business between domestic and foreign enterprises. Thereby, developing an ecosystem of supporting industries, attracting investment from the world's leading corporations and enterprises in the semiconductor field.” Ms. Linda Tan, President of the Southeast Asia Semiconductor Industry Association (SEMI), co-organizer of SEMIExpo Vietnam 2024, affirmed: Vietnam's semiconductor market is forecast to reach 31.39 billion USD by 2029 with a compound annual growth rate of 11.48% from 2024 to 2029. In the context that the Vietnamese government is promoting the development of the semiconductor industry through policies and strategies, SEMIExpo Vietnam 2024 becomes an important platform to connect with stakeholders and promote knowledge exchange. SEMIExpo 2024 also demonstrates Vietnam's readiness and aspiration to develop this field. Within the framework of the exhibition, there will also be conferences, seminars, business connection programs and industry connection sessions, and training programs for Vietnamese students./.
