Real Betis sporting director Manu Fajardo has insisted the La Liga side will "do everything they can" to sign Antony on a long-term deal. Mirror reports that Fajardo has vowed to keep the winger, born in 2000. However, Manchester United's asking price of €50 million is beyond the Benito Villamarin outfit's ability to pay.
Antony has found his form in Spain, having been involved in nine goals in 18 appearances. At Betis, he has shown a confidence and sharpness that he failed to replicate at Old Trafford. Antony was a blockbuster signing for the Red Devils at £81m from Ajax, but he failed to live up to expectations under Erik ten Hag and then Ruben Amorim.

Betis want to keep Antony. |
Despite his early success at Betis and his desire to keep Antony, the Spanish club's financial situation makes it difficult for them to meet United's transfer fee. According to media reports, Betis are considering the possibility of continuing Antony on loan for another season if they cannot buy him outright.
Fajardo confirmed over the weekend: "Bringing Antony here is a great success, but it is the result of collective work. We will try in many different ways to do everything we can to continue to enjoy his presence at the club."
Although he is no longer in the long-term plans at Old Trafford, Antony still had praise for Amorim when sharing with ESPN Brazil: "I have only worked with him for a short time, but Amorim is a very good and intelligent coach. I have a good relationship with him. I wish MU all the best for the rest of the season."
