Fashion show gathers 1000 audiences, reflecting hidden corners of life

LaMode Fashion Show is an annual activity of LaMode club, organized for 11 consecutive years starting from 2012. This series of programs has achieved certain successes with projects attracting the attention of fashion lovers such as: Nguoi trong bao (2012), Goc canh (2013), Mat thoi gian (2014), Gioi (2015), Toi ke (2016), Khuyet (2017), Wake up to life's dream (2018), Mong lien thoi ( 2019), Duong vi (2020), Chieu sac (2022), Son vien (2023)...

Following the success of previous years, LaMode has hatched a plan with the desire to bring a new perspective through a show called Resonance. Still exploiting familiar materials of life, the program introduces costumes created by high school students in Hanoi , creating an artistic space gathering about 1,000 spectators.

Inspired by modern villas and the luxurious life of the upper class, part 1 of the show will depict a contrasting picture of a poor spiritual life on a material and massive property background. There, people are filled with unrealistic aspirations for a glamorous future, symbolized through costumes made of organza, cotton, taffeta and cool elastic, with the main colors being white, gray and black.

Part 2 is inspired by poor residential areas, depicting the frugal, extremely miserable material life of the less fortunate individuals, always reaching for the glimmer of light for their lives. The costumes are woven from materials such as linen, felt, felt, and parachute with brown and beige as the main colors.

Part 3 envisions a society where labor and intelligence are valued more than money. When the result of labor is the measure of power and status in an individual, it will inevitably cause competition from the bottomless greed that exists within humanity. The picture of a society gradually fading away from emotions is sketched in black, deep red, brown with taffeta, suede, khaki, chiffon and felt.

Meanwhile, inspired by the phenomenon of symbiosis in nature - the phenomenon of two or more different species living together for a long time, part 4 aims at the connection between individuals and factors; the strong mutual support is like the close cooperation relationship between people in the dream social vision.

According to the Organizing Committee, the process of making the costumes began about 9 months before the show took place. During this time, LaMode's design members rushed to prepare the steps from coming up with ideas, sketching designs, choosing colors, choosing fabrics, bringing them to tailors and making models... True to the criteria since its establishment, the club encourages young people to fully exploit their creative limits, challenging themselves with diverse ideas. Each personality, each ego is deeply expressed behind the layers of fabric and the charisma of the models on the catwalk.
