Si Ma Cai organizes a communication campaign integrating health check-ups for the elderly in 2025

From October 13 to 23, 2025, the Si Ma Cai Regional Health Center coordinated with the Sin Cheng Commune Health Station and Si Ma Cai Commune to organize communication activities that included health check-ups and screening for some common diseases in the elderly in the two communes.

During the examinations, doctors and nurses examined, checked blood pressure, measured blood sugar, examined ears, nose, throat, eyes, provided nutritional advice and instructed on how to prevent some common diseases of the elderly. In 10 days, 689 people out of a total of 851 elderly people in the locality were examined and provided health advice, reaching 80.96%. Currently, the program is still being implemented in the remaining 27 villages in the area, striving for 100% of the elderly to be examined and provided health advice./.

Medical stations conduct examinations, provide consultations and provide financial support to the elderly in the area.

The screening program aims to detect early to manage and treat underlying diseases, helping to intervene promptly and minimize complications of the disease in the elderly. The care and attention of family and society will be a great source of motivation to help the elderly live happily, healthily and usefully to society.
