Danang University students make their mark at prestigious competitions

Recently, students of member universities of Danang University have continuously achieved excellent results in prestigious regional and national academic and creative competitions.

Notably, from May 9 to 11, 2025, at the National Innovation Center (NIC), the Ministry of Education and Training implemented the Program to support students to accelerate startups to create social impact (VSIS), the BINKS vegetable ink project team of the University of Danang (UD) excellently won first prize, receiving "seed capital" of 50 million VND from the Ministry of Education and Training and The Happiness Foundation, SK Group (Korea).

At the VSIS Program, the BINKS group, consisting of students from the Vietnam-UK Research and Training Institute (Tran Nhan Kiet) and the University of Economics (Dinh Tra Giang, Nguyen Tran Tran Chau), who won the national first prize of SV.STARTUP in 2024, developed writing ink and drawing colors from anthocyanin extracted from plants.

The product has high color fastness, quick drying ability, lower cost than existing industrial products, is widely applied in the community, has convinced experts and investors, won first prize in the top 5 typical projects, inspiring students to start a business from the classroom.

Then, on May 23, the UD - UFLS team of the University of Foreign Languages ​​- University of Danang, including students Tran Hoa Thuc Linh, Nguyen Thi Phuong Cuc and Nguyen Hanh Dung (class 24CNN01) won first prize in the 22nd National Russian Language Olympiad held at the Russian Center for Science and Culture (Hanoi).

The representative of the University of Foreign Languages ​​shared that the school's student team had excelled over hundreds of candidates from universities with a long history of training and researching Russian language and culture across the country, conquering the judges with a solid knowledge base, demonstrating the school's top training quality in the system of international language and culture training institutions.

Recently, on June 1, 2025, at the Final Round of the ORC Online Competition - 2025, both student teams from the University of Technical Education - UD excellently won the championship (Master's Table for university students).

The two teams competed to demonstrate their ability and technique of stacking 4 cubes and 17 balls in the goal, 4 balls on the energy platform in the final robot competition, both achieving the maximum score (251 points) to win convincingly at ORC Online - 2025.

Notably, previously at the Microsoft Imagine Cup - 2025 Competition, the Tetractys team of the University of Economics - UD, including students Nguyen Duc Loc, Nguyen Van Thien, Tran Thi Thu Trang, Tran Phu Vinh (class 48K33, Faculty of Finance) also won first prize in the Central region.
