Students open 'wedding hall' right in the classroom, spend 10 million to recreate a Western wedding

The online community is excited and sharing about the "wedding" that took place right in a classroom.

Photos and videos of a wedding held in a classroom have attracted the attention of the online community.

The owners of this “wedding” are a group of 9 fourth-year students majoring in Tourism Management at the National Economics University (Hanoi). This is an assignment for the Event Management course, which requires students to plan and organize a real event.

The group chose a Western wedding as the theme to demonstrate their creativity, event management skills and spread their love for the nation's traditional culture.

The group spent 2 months preparing, from planning, assigning tasks to implementing all organizational items such as costumes, decorations, and content scripts. Members participated in all stages of planning and organizing production, and the group leader assigned tasks based on each individual's strengths and weaknesses.

The student group invested 10 million VND for the entire organization and decoration process.

The process of organizing a “wedding” helps students improve their knowledge of Event Management and apply it directly to real-life organizing experiences. This activity not only creates excitement in learning but also leaves memorable memories during the exercise.

" After the class, I learned more about the process of organizing an event. I also had the opportunity to practice teamwork skills, communication skills, working under pressure and saw the importance of emotions in creating experiences for guests," said Vu Thi Phuong Thao - the student group leader.

“The Wedding” received positive feedback and high praise from lecturers as well as fellow students. As a lecturer of the subject, Dr. Nguyen Thi My Hanh (Faculty of Tourism - Hospitality, National Economics University) was surprised by the students’ performance. The final product exceeded expectations in terms of creativity, investment and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practice.

“I only take on the role of imparting knowledge and guiding during the practice process, while the students are always proactive in their learning. The creativity and level of investment from preparation time, effort to cost shows that the students love the subject and are serious about their products."
