Phu Yen Province Department of Education and Training proposes to add more than 1,500 teachers

On May 11, Mr. Tran Khac Le, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Yen province, said that the province's need for additional teachers for the 2023-2024 school year is 1,501 positions.

Phu Yen is currently lacking teachers for the new school year 2023-2024.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Phu Yen province, in the 2023-2024 school year, 676 groups/classes will be mobilized for preschool education, while there are currently 1,370 teachers on the payroll, so it is necessary to add 117 teachers to exploit 288 unused classrooms, ensuring the rate of mobilizing children to class.

Meanwhile, the primary school currently has 3,868 teachers on the payroll, and needs to add 472 teachers.

The junior high school level currently has 3,211 teachers, and needs to add 26 people.

There are 1,702 teachers at the high school level. Currently, Phu Yen has 31 high schools, each with at least 1 music teacher and 1 art teacher, so the total demand is 62 teachers. However, the province currently has only 20 teachers, so the number of music and art teachers needed for the 2023-2024 school year is 42 positions.

The high school teacher payroll from 2023-2025 had to be cut by 195 people to implement the reduction according to regulations, so the additional demand for high school in 2023-2024 is 252 teachers.
