In the context of strong development of science and technology, ethnic minority students need to strive to master digital space, startup space and cultural space.

On the evening of May 30, in Can Tho City, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the 9th exchange night for outstanding ethnic minority students of cultural, sports and tourism schools in the southern region - 2025.

During the exchange night, more than 200 ethnic minority students from 12 southern training institutions experienced many emotional levels with unique ethnic music performances and a campfire imbued with the spirit of solidarity. Sharing at the program, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong said that the exchange activity is not only a political and cultural event, but also an inspiring space. Here, students can meet, connect, and spread the spirit of national solidarity and noble human values. This is also an opportunity for them to share their dreams, aspirations and affirm the value of Vietnamese national identity in the new era.

Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong added that we are living in an era of development where digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and social networks are changing every aspect of life. Opportunities and challenges are intertwined, and entering life for young people requires not only book knowledge but also adaptability, ethics, courage and identity.

In that context, students need to preserve the character and cultural soul of the nation as their daily activities. In particular, it can be said that ethnic minorities are the embodiment of aspirations, and are expected to bring culture to connect knowledge, spreading the nature and spirit of the Vietnamese people globally.

"You should master the digital space, cultural space and startup space. Step into the modern world with traditional costumes, native language and pure, noble souls, imbued with national cultural identity. I hope you will continue to study continuously, practice physical fitness, ethics, life skills and international integration," Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong advised.

In addition to performing arts and campfires, the exchange night also awarded scholarships to outstanding ethnic minority students with excellent achievements in the 2023-2024 school year; and presented prizes for cultural and sports competitions in the series of events. The exchange program continued on May 31, with activities to return to the source, visit some historical sites, famous landscapes and typical tourist attractions in Can Tho.
