Summary of Green Mo Cay Club activities

Commendation of individuals who have made positive contributions during one year of operation of the "Green Mo Cay" Club in Mo Cay Nam district.

Since its establishment, the district-level “Green Mo Cay” Club has organized 14 campaigns in Tan Hoi, Minh Duc, An Thanh, Tan Trung, An Thoi, Da Phuoc Hoi communes and Mo Cay town, attracting over 1,400 union members and youth to participate. Notably, up to now, the Club model has been replicated and maintained effectively in 16/16 communes and towns in the district, creating a synchronous and widespread network of activities.

The club's activities are carried out regularly, with focus and key points, associated with major campaigns such as "Green Sunday", "New Rural Sunday", "Civilized Urban Sunday"... Thanks to that, in the past time, the whole district has organized more than 150 launching sessions, with many practical contents: Clearing bushes, cleaning the environment, collecting more than 25 tons of plastic waste, removing illegal billboards, giving trash cans and instructing people to classify waste at source, planting more than 3,000 trees, and beautifying the grounds of Martyrs' Temples... In total, these activities have attracted more than 2,800 union members, association members, and young people to actively participate, creating a widespread effect in the community.

Not only stopping at mass activities, the “Green Mine” Club also focuses on improving the quality of propaganda and educating people, especially the young generation, about the responsibility of protecting the environment, forming the habit of living green - clean - beautiful. Good models and creative ways have been and continue to be promoted, contributing to making environmental protection a part of the local cultural lifestyle.

Speaking at the conference, District Youth Union Secretary Huynh Thanh Tam affirmed: “The activities of the Mo Cay Xanh Club not only bring environmental value but also demonstrate the role of the Youth Union in accompanying young people to promote a sense of responsibility and dedication to the community. In the coming time, the District Youth Union will continue to support and create conditions for the Club to operate effectively, expand many new models associated with each locality, ensuring practicality and sustainability.”

On this occasion, the Executive Board of the “Green Mo Cay” Club of the district was strengthened with 1 Chairman and 4 Vice Chairmen. The Standing Committee of the District Youth Union awarded certificates of merit to 4 individuals who had excellently completed their tasks and commended 24 individuals who had made many contributions in 1 year of operation of the “Green Mo Cay” Club of Mo Cay Nam district.
