Thanh Phu hands over phase 1 houses to residents

Handing over the decision to donate houses to households.

At the ceremony, the district handed over 10 houses in Thanh Phu town to the following households: Ms. Ngo Thi Lot, Ms. Le Thi Nguyen, Ms. Huynh Thi Loan, Ms. Luong Thi Thuy Hang, Ms. Nguyen Thi Chuyen, Ms. Dang Ngoc Nhan, Mr. Tran Thanh Quang, Mr. Bui Thanh Ngon, Mr. Nguyen Van Bay, Mr. Pham Van Hai; of which, 8 houses were newly built and 2 were repaired. The total construction cost was 770 million VND, including: Capital from the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses supported 540 million VND, the rest was contributed by the families.

Implementing the plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025, according to statistics, there are still 251 households in the district with housing difficulties that need help from authorities at all levels and the social community, including: 178 households building new houses and 73 households repairing, with a construction cost of nearly 13 billion VND.

To date, the district has started construction of 184 houses. More than 70 houses have been completed. The District Steering Committee continues to mobilize support sources for the remaining houses, striving that by June 30, 2025, 100% of households with housing difficulties in the district will be supported to build and repair houses according to plan.

In Thanh Phu town alone, after screening, there are 14 households in need of building houses; in phase 1, the town built 10 houses, which have now been completed and put into use.

Speaking at the house handover ceremony, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Truong Thanh Hai requested that the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Thanh Phu Town continue to widely disseminate to the people the humane significance of the Program to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; organize the groundbreaking, construction and handover of the remaining houses before June 30, 2025. At the same time, continue to create conditions to help disadvantaged households develop their economy and enrich themselves legitimately. The district leaders hope that households receiving houses need to further promote the will of self-reliance, care for labor, production, improve their lives, and gradually escape poverty sustainably...

On this occasion, the District People's Committee, Agribank Thanh Phu Branch and BIDV Dong Khoi Branch presented many gifts to the families.
