Number of enterprises in Lam Dong continues to decrease

Lam Dong province has just announced the province's socio-economic statistics. Notably, the number of enterprises continues to decrease.

On January 6, Lam Dong Provincial Statistics Office announced statistical data on the socio-economic situation of Lam Dong province.

Notably, in 2024, Lam Dong province will have only 1,205 newly established enterprises, lower than in 2022 (1,467 enterprises) and 2023 (1,301 enterprises), equivalent to the most intense period of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 (1,203 enterprises).

Data from the Lam Dong Provincial Statistics Office also shows that the total registered capital of enterprises in 2024 in Lam Dong only reached 6,789 billion VND. Compared to 2023, the scale of registered capital of enterprises decreased by 30%.

Worryingly, the number of businesses registering to temporarily suspend operations also increased sharply with 867 businesses, an increase of 34% compared to 2023.

Lam Dong Provincial Statistics Office said that 258 enterprises were dissolved in 2024, an increase of 4.8% compared to 2023. A bright spot in the recent business statistics of Lam Dong province was that 368 enterprises resumed operations.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said the locality is implementing measures to attract investment to the province in 2025.

The goal is to increase the total number of newly established enterprises as well as increase the scale of investment in important areas of the province such as infrastructure, accommodation, tourism, agriculture , etc.
