Department of Foreign Affairs inspects foreign affairs work in Trung Khanh district

On November 8, the delegation of the Department of Foreign Affairs led by Comrade Doan Trong Hung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, inspected the implementation of legal regulations on foreign affairs and border management (foreign affairs) in Trung Khanh district. Working with the delegation were representatives of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, leaders of the District People's Committee, a number of related specialized departments, and border posts stationed in the area.

Comrade Doan Trong Hung, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs spoke at the meeting.

Over the past two years, Trung Khanh district has effectively implemented the contents related to territorial border management according to legal documents on the Vietnam - China land border, promptly handling incidents occurring on the border, contributing to firmly protecting national sovereignty and border security.

The district is interested in strengthening trade promotion activities to promote border trade activities, contributing to local economic development. Actively directing the implementation of projects sponsored by non-governmental organizations in the area. In 2020, an international agreement on non-governmental cooperation was signed with ChidFul with a total project budget of over 5.7 billion VND. Foreign affairs activities such as management of official passports, management of outgoing and incoming delegations, and twinning of hamlets, villages, and border districts on both sides are always carried out by the District People's Committee in accordance with current procedures and regulations.

Delegates discussed and clarified many issues related to the district's foreign affairs such as coordination in border management; solutions to attract foreign investment projects and non-governmental projects ; combining tourism exploitation of Ban Gioc waterfall landscape area with border management and protection.

Concluding the working session, Comrade Doan Trong Hung highly appreciated the results of foreign affairs that the district has implemented; at the same time, he requested the District People's Committee to continue to promote leadership and direction of foreign affairs and border management. Strengthen management, propaganda, and mobilization to warn people about the risks of illegal exit to China to work. Be more proactive and positive in building goals and programs to mobilize foreign non-governmental aid... The recommendations of the district will be recorded by the working delegation for study and proposal to competent authorities for settlement according to regulations.
