The Government of Vietnam highly appreciates the important results achieved by the Government of Japan in preventing the spread of the pandemic. On May 25, 2020, Japan announced the lifting of the state of emergency. The Government of Japan also highly appreciates the Government of Vietnam's success in preventing and combating the COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that Vietnam has had no community transmission cases for more than 2 months.
The two sides shared a common understanding of the importance of continuing to strengthen the Extensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries in all fields, while ensuring the prevention and control of COVID-19, preventing the spread of the disease and ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control of each country.
