On August 28, 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province organized a meeting to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the establishment of the Cultural Sector (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2024), at the headquarters of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at 450 Ba Trieu Street, Vinh Trai Ward, Lang Son City.
Attending the meeting were comrade Nguyen Dang An, Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism ; comrade Duong Minh Tue, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; comrade Luu Ba Mac, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders of specialized departments, civil servants and employees of the Department's Office.
Overview of the meeting
At the meeting, delegates reviewed the 79-year tradition of the establishment and development of the Cultural Sector; shared experiences in state management of culture in the province. Accordingly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province is a unit associated with each stage of construction and development of the state management sector of culture, sports and tourism under the People's Committee of Lang Son province, with the function of advising and assisting the People's Committee of the province in performing the state management function of: Culture, family, physical education, sports, tourism and advertising (excluding advertising content in newspapers, on the network environment, on publications and integrated advertising on postal, telecommunications and information technology products and services); the use of the National Flag, National Emblem, National Anthem, portrait of President Ho Chi Minh and performing tasks and powers according to the decentralization and authorization of the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Over the past 79 years, under the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Lang Son province, with the close coordination of sectors and localities; especially the efforts of the team of civil servants and public employees working in State management of culture, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province has constantly strived, built and grown, overcoming difficulties to complete political tasks, excellently completing the task of State management.
Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Department's leaders, comrade Nguyen Dang An, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province acknowledged the efforts and struggles of generations of civil servants and public employees working in the State management of culture through the periods. Thereby, he expressed his hope that in the coming time, the collective of civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to inherit and promote the achievements of the sector; successfully implement the goals and tasks entrusted by the Party, State and People; contribute significantly to the process of building Lang Son province to be increasingly civilized - modern - humane, meeting the requirements of sustainable development of the country.

At the end of the meeting, the leaders, civil servants and public employees of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism took a photo together to celebrate the traditional day of the industry, determined to unite, build the cultural industry stronger and achieve great achievements in the future.
