Early completion of the Steering Committee for the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census of Da Nang City

Standing Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh and Chief Statistician of Da Nang Tran Van Vu also attended.

Reporting at the meeting, Head of Da Nang Statistics Tran Van Vu said that up to now, Da Nang city has completed some initial contents according to the survey plan's procedures.

The census steering committee and the census standing committee at all levels were established in accordance with the instructions of the Central Steering Committee. The city currently has 250 steering committees with 1,992 members. The work of compiling household and farm lists; professional training, inspection and supervision were basically carried out in accordance with the correct procedures and time.

The city's statistics office is currently submitting to the city's People's Committee for signing and promulgating a decision to complete the city's Steering Committee, the new Standing Working Group with the addition of a number of relevant departments, branches and sectors, especially the city's police, and instructing the (new) commune level to complete the steering committee or commune-level steering group to continue directing and coordinating the completion of the 2025 rural and agricultural census in accordance with regulations.

From the first day of the campaign (July 1) to 2:00 p.m. on July 5, 2025, 25,943/250,792 household ballots were surveyed (8.92%); 206/215 commune ballots were surveyed (95.81%); and 9/107 farm ballots were surveyed (8.41%).

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that before merging administrative units, Da Nang proactively deployed preparations for the general census.

After the administrative unit merger, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang city signed Decision No. 440/QD-UBND to complete the Steering Committee for the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census of Da Nang city.

Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh suggested that the Da Nang City Statistics Office comply with regulations on standards for investigators and provide adequate training for investigators. At the same time, speed up the implementation of the general census to soon have specific results and advise the city leaders on plans and goals for the city's development in the coming time.

Concluding the working session, Director of the General Statistics Office Nguyen Thi Huong suggested that the Head of the Steering Committee for the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census of Da Nang City proactively review and assign tasks to the commune-level steering committee to obtain accurate data on the picture of infrastructure and production conditions in rural areas, thereby serving the work of building local socio -economic development plans.

The head of the city-level steering committee closely monitors the implementation of the investigation work in communes and wards to promptly adjust the data if there are any errors, so as not to affect the city-level and national census data, contributing to improving the quality of the national census work.
