Son Tay launches Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene and Workers' Month

Vice Chairman of Son Tay Town People's Committee Phung Huy Vinh said that Workers' Month has truly become a series of festivals for workers nationwide in general and Son Tay Town in particular with many specific and practical activities to show gratitude and support to workers. The team of workers and laborers has received attention from Party committees at all levels, authorities, and employers.

In Son Tay, the situation of labor accidents and fires in the town has many potential risks. There are still units and enterprises that are negligent, subjective, and do not pay much attention to labor safety and hygiene; violations of labor safety and hygiene laws still occur.

Therefore, the Town People's Committee strongly directs functional agencies and authorities at all levels to closely coordinate with trade unions to strengthen state management of labor safety and hygiene; forcing enterprises in the town to ensure labor safety and hygiene according to the provisions of law.

In order to effectively implement the theme of the Month of Action on Labor Safety and Hygiene in 2025, with the theme "Strengthening assessment, identifying risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure labor safety and hygiene at the workplace"; Workers' Month with the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering into the new era", the leaders of Son Tay town requested the town's Labor Federation to perform well the following key tasks: Strengthen dialogue at the workplace, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations; take care of the working life, salary, bonus, welfare, working conditions of workers; organize skill competitions, skilled worker competitions, honor good workers, creative initiatives; organize legal consulting activities, culture, art, physical education and sports for union members and workers at the grassroots level; timely visit families and victims of work accidents and occupational diseases, share their losses, encourage them to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and work, and contribute significantly to the successful implementation of the town's socio-economic development goals in 2025 and the following years.

At the launching ceremony, Son Tay Town Labor Federation presented 53 gifts, worth more than 50 million VND to union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers in difficult circumstances or having occupational accidents.

On this occasion, 111 teams with more than 1,000 athletes from agencies, schools, and military units in the town participated in the following events: Badminton, table tennis, tug of war, sack jumping...
