
According to the plan announced by AFF, the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's U19 Championship will take place from June 9 to June 18, 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City. The teams will compete in a round-robin format to calculate the ranking points in each group. The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals, followed by the finals and third-place matches.
Since its first event in 2014, the tournament has become an important playground for young women's football in the region. In this arena, the Vietnam U19 women's team has participated in the finals three times in a row in 2014, 2022 and 2023, but has yet to lift the championship trophy as they finished as runners-up.
To prepare for this year’s Southeast Asian U19 Women’s Championship, the Vietnam U19 Women’s Team will officially gather and practice from May 12 at Thanh Long Sports Center, Ho Chi Minh City. With home field advantage and attention and investment from the Football Federation, the Vietnam U19 Women’s Team has many advantages to aim for the highest goal.

The 2025 Southeast Asian Women's U19 Championship will have 8 participating teams including: Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia and Timor Leste. The teams are divided into 2 groups, playing a round robin to calculate points. The top 2 teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
The matches of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's U19 Championship will be held at four stadiums in Ho Chi Minh City: Thong Nhat Stadium, District 8 Stadium, Dat Duc Stadium (Go Vap) and HFF Football Stadium.
The Vietnam U19 women's team will begin gathering at Thanh Long Sports Center from May 12 to prepare for the tournament.
