According to Sports Kyunghyang, while the incident of Suga (BTS) driving under the influence is still causing a stir in public opinion, a civil complaint has recently been filed requesting an investigation into the issue of Suga neglecting his work while performing his public service duties.
In addition, there were additional civil complaints and witness accounts of Suga's negligence during basic training.
A community service worker shared that, when he attended basic training with Suga last November, even though Suga was the leader, he did not actively participate in class.
“Suga never attended class (educational period) for 4 nights and 5 days. The instructor thought it was very serious and even came to warn him, but he just nodded, scrolled through his phone, and went back to sleep.”
Suga's actions caused the team's participation rate to be ranked the lowest, and it felt like seeing a "naughty student" in class, the person added.
Suga's basic military training is the 35th course in 2023, and male idol Dawn is also in the same group. The course is held from November 20 to November 24, 2023, at the Social Service Training Center located in Boeun-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. On the social service community page, there are eyewitness accounts talking about "Suga is the captain", "Suga doesn't sign autographs like Dawn"...
While being assigned the role of captain, if he completed the task well, he would be rewarded. But in reality, there is no information about Suga being rewarded for his position.
Suspicions of Suga's dereliction of duty spread online late last year and were criticized at the time. After the drunk driving incident, complaints of dereliction of duty also continued to emerge.
The additional complainant said, "The case of Suga driving under the influence stemmed from his lack of seriousness in his work attitude. The Military Manpower Administration should check the CCTV of the service agency to investigate his actual work.
We hope that the military will thoroughly investigate the current state of management of public service agencies and Suga's work status, in accordance with the Military Service Law. If violations are found, strict action must be taken, including reporting them to the investigative agency."
These additional complaints will be forwarded to the Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration and are expected to be investigated.
