Many types of aircraft and warships participate in the A80 parade

On the morning of August 5, after the second training session, the Parade and Marching Subcommittee in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam held a conference to brief the forces participating in mission A80.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Head of the Parade and Marching Subcommittee, chaired the conference. Attending the conference were Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; leaders and commanders of agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security .

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia chaired the conference.

Reporting at the conference, the commander of the Air Defense - Air Force said that the air force participating in the A80 mission used 40 aircraft, including: SU-30MK2; YAK-130; L39-NG; helicopters; transport aircraft. The units organized training for 78 flight crews, ensuring absolute safety.

Meanwhile, the naval force, including submarines, missile frigates, missile boats, anti-submarine frigates, various types of coast guard ships, fisheries surveillance ships, military medical ships, border guards, maritime militia and helicopters, held the third joint training, ensuring distance, speed and formation.

Speaking at the briefing, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung praised the officers, soldiers and forces participating in the A80 mission for always showing a very high spirit and responsibility, "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, practicing enthusiastically", solidarity, overcoming difficulties, and determination to excellently complete the assigned tasks. In particular, in the harsh weather and climate conditions, the female units have made great efforts, focused on practicing to ensure quality, contributing to spreading the image of female revolutionary soldiers.

Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung commended officers, soldiers and forces participating in the implementation of mission A80.

In the coming time, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung requested the units to promote the achieved results; at the same time, learn from the experience of performing tasks A70, A50, and be determined to successfully complete task A80. In particular, focus on doing well the education work to enhance the spirit, responsibility, and honor of the troops. In the immediate future, prepare well for the next general training session and the preliminary and final rehearsals at Ba Dinh Square.

During the process of performing tasks, the troops must always maintain the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers, especially when interacting with the people, the press, and foreigners.

Along with that, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung requested agencies and units to support, create the best conditions and closely coordinate with Vietnam Television, to contribute to having television products commensurate with the scale and stature of the country's important event. The Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics also assigned tasks to a number of agencies and units to ensure equipment and operate the sound system; plan for guest delegates; ensure security, safety, and transport delegates to the celebration...

Concluding the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia requested the units to learn from the contents pointed out at the training session this morning; at the same time, requested to continue to organize serious training, ensuring quality, especially the Air Force and Navy to organize joint training according to the approved plan. Proactively do a good job of ensuring the technical safety of the weapons and equipment systems participating in training and joint training; pay attention to ensuring the health of the troops, pay attention to disease prevention, food safety and hygiene, and prevent heatstroke.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia noted the coordination between departments, ministries, branches and Hanoi City in ensuring traffic, force mobility; ensuring security, safety, environmental sanitation; and propaganda work. Do a good job of preparing and organizing to welcome military delegations from other countries to participate in the parade, ensuring solemnity and compliance with international practices.
