Tay Ninh: By 2030, strive to have 12 scientific researchers/10,000 people and at least 40 high-tech enterprises

Tay Ninh is implementing a comprehensive set of tasks and solutions to realize the Breakthrough Program for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation for the period 2025-2040. Specifically, the province has set a target of 12 people per 10,000 inhabitants for the scientific research, technology development, and innovation workforce; and at least 40 science and technology enterprises and high-tech enterprises by 2030.

To achieve the above objectives, Tay Ninh will synchronously implement training and professional development programs and enhance the management capacity of science and technology for officials in departments, agencies, commune and ward People's Committees, and personnel at science and technology organizations and enterprises.

Simultaneously, the province encourages students to pursue priority fields such as high-tech agriculture , biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and automation, in order to create a young workforce with sufficient capabilities to meet new development needs.

In particular, Tay Ninh aims to strengthen the connection between educational institutions, research institutes, and businesses, ensuring that training programs are aligned with practical needs. Flexible cooperation models will be promoted, attracting reputable experts and scientists to participate in teaching and consulting on a short-term basis or through rotational contracts.

Furthermore, the province focuses on developing a young workforce with innovative thinking, digital skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit through career guidance programs, communication, and training support for students. Increasing the number of research personnel to 12 per 10,000 people will create a foundation for Tay Ninh to form a strong innovation ecosystem, enhance competitiveness, and promote sustainable development.

To achieve the goal of having at least 40 science and technology enterprises and high-tech enterprises by 2030, Tay Ninh province will implement many practical solutions. Enterprises are encouraged to carry out research tasks and apply technological advancements to production and business.

Resources from the Science and Technology Development Fund will be prioritized for co-funding or commissioning research based on actual needs. Simultaneously, the province will support the connection between technology supply and demand, the acquisition, mastery, and improvement of technology through cooperation with research institutes, universities, and the organization of technology fairs and exchanges.

In addition, support for the registration, protection, management, and exploitation of intellectual property rights, as well as product branding, is also emphasized to promote sustainable business development and enhance competitiveness in the market.

These indicators are considered an important stepping stone to improving the quality of human resources, creating momentum for knowledge-based development, promoting competitiveness and sustainable development for the province in the new phase.

With synchronized solutions in human resource training and business support, Tay Ninh is gradually building a solid foundation to become a center of science and technology, innovation, and contribute to comprehensive socio-economic development in the 2025-2030 period.
